I have an announcement...

This was zeke when he was about 3 months old. You think he looks like eli? Not really.

Oh Brothers....

So I have an announcement. DOn't get too excited it's not really as big of a deal as you think. Now i'm making it a big deal. Forget it. I'll tell you later. No I'm not pregnant.

Ok I'll tell you now 'cause I ahve nothing else to talk about. Yes i spelled 'have' wrong but i'm too lazy to spell check. Anyways....i was watching an infomercial last night no wait it was QVC! Even better. And I totallly got sold on buying something. What you ask? Nutrisystem. Tori SPelling is on it and lost a grip load of weight. She is now my new 90210 favorito. so i do what she says. Just kidding. They made it sound so good and so easy. They send you 20 breakfasts, lunch and dinners for a month you can eat all the fruit and veggies you want and then have the weekend off. Sounds easy right?

I called my mom to see if she wants to do it and she just laughed at me and told me how i will fail miserably at this diet. FOr anyone who knows anything about my mom this is very typical of her. She for some reason feels like I have failed at everything i've done in my life so I will of course fail at this. She's on crack. Whatever i'm not getting into it. Okay now i'm pissed....

Okay I'm back....so while she's laughing at me and describing in detail how I will suck at this diet she then says she'll pay for the whole month if I lose 10 lbs!!!! OH I'm fired up now.

Here's where you come in (and you I mean the three people who read this blog and all you creeps who don't even know me.) Hold me accountable!!!!! We need to as a team show my mom what a #$%^@#@ she is for laughing at me. I can do this. I'm already down to my pre eli weight. If i lose ten more lbs i'll be down to pre zeke weight. 10 more and i'm down to pre zaiah weight!!!!! Bingo~. It's that simple.

Here's my fat butt just two weeks after Eli was born. Say goodbye. The only thing that sucks is that I thougth my nutrisystem would arrive like tomorrow or something. Wrong. Not coming till August 11th. SO i was porking out thinking these were my last days of freedom. not so but that's okay tomorrow I'll start eating better. :) Thanks for reading.

i heart gilroy.

so i realized i am unable to write a complete thought down. i guess that's how my mind now functions. deal with it. if you don't like it than kiss my ................just kidding. wow where did that come from. see what i mean? no complete thoughts and some pent up anger.

I digress.

We had another successful camping trip this last weekend. We went up to gilroy to a place called coyote creek. It was really really nice up there. THe camp was brand new so everything was super clean(showers, bathrooms). there was a lot of people there but the camps were so split up that it was still peaceful. We didn't spend much time camping during the day which was good because it was so dang hot up there. Where we did spend our time was at GILROY GARDENS. The second happiest place on earth. It was my and ben's happy place because there is no one there and that means no stress which means happyness for my and my high anxiety husband. It was so cute though because all the rides are for little people (not midgets) but toddlers. The gardens too are amazing and the waterfalls. It's a really fun place. Let me know if you want to go because we are season pass holders. that's right. ...I kinda got the short end of the stick because i had to hold the baby most of the time so i missed out on a lot of rides but just seeing the smiling faces on my kids...blah blah blah.

happy 4th!

I used to love the fourth of July growing up. We would have the anual block party at my neighbors house. Eat tons of food, homemade ice cream, at set off lots and lots of fireworks. It was always so fun and one of the highlights of my childhood. Now being a mom I desperatly want my kids to have those same kind of fond memories. It's such a bummer though because you can't have fireworks around here. This year Ben had to work (what else is new) but my mom had the day off so we went to the Cayucos parade. there was crazy mad people there but we squeezed our way up to the front and had a blast. I don't know what it is about parades but I always shed a tear when I see that first marching band walk down the street. I just love how parades bring people together. I love the nostalgia of it all. Something so simple as people in an old car driving down the street waving at you. It always brings me to tears. I'm a dork I know.
When Ben got home we went back to Cayucos to watch the fireworks. That was super fun but freezing. We weren't really prepared for that. There was so many drunk high school kids. One kid was walking in front of us and completely face planted hard onto the sand. It reminded me of my drunken stuppor days. Ahhh...those were the days.
Zaiah loved the fireworks and was yelling wow, ohh, cool after every one. Zeke on the other hand was so scared and hid under the blanket the whole time begging to go home. Crazy kid.

zeke said when he grows up he wants to sell donuts. Zaiah then chimed in and said i'll be the money girl! They make me so proud.

I've been dying to start my own cafe/restaurant/bakery/playground. A place where moms can bring their kids and play, have parties, relax. All organic. the playground would be environmentally friendly with recycled materials. The food would be really good but cheap. I know keep dreaming. We could sell the mini donuts. not organic! but still yummy. So if you know anyone that can invest 100,000 to get me going let me know.

Eli's face got realy sunburned when we went down to Ventura. I felt really bad. Now it's pealing. Poor little guy. He's a trooper.

We got Zaiah a bunk bed from Ikea. We moved her bed out of the room. mOved everything else out of the way. Ben got all the 500 pieces out of the box and there was no hardware! Not a single nail, screw, nothing! What a let down.

sleepy heads...

This is what they look like when they're awake. So cute and sweet.

My kids fall asleep in the most random ways. I wish i was better at enforcing naps . With Zaiah I could just put her in her bed, say night night and she'd be out. But when Zeke came along (mind you they're 18 months apart). Everything went out the window and the kids fell asleep where they landed. Yesterday the baby woke up from his nap (by the way he is an amazing sleeper and i love him very much for that)and i went to go get him. The kids were sitting on the couch watching a cartoon or as I call it mommy is about to loose it and she needs a little peace and quiet. I come out of the room after I change the babies diaper and i find them both sleeping on each other on the couch.

Zeke fell asleep on the floor one afternoon while holding a log. That's all i have to say about that.

And last but not least zeke fell asleep on the couch (are you seeing a pattern?) they sleep everywhere but their beds including the costco shopping cart. We needed to wake him up ecause it was getting late in the day. We are very cruel and tried to wake him up by putting whip cream in his hand and tickling his nose. It didn't work though.

life is good...

don't really have anything monumental to talk about really. I've just really been enjoying life.  Eli is such a chunky monkey weighing in at 15 lbs!  Oh yeah i lost 5 lbs at weight watchers last week.  Makes up for the 2 lbs i gained the week before.  It's been so flippin hot it made me so extremely happy that we didn't move to Atascadero.  Los Osos "It doesn't get any better than this." That's my new mantra. I saw it on a sign at the Rexall.  I almost got it for Holly for her birthday. She's the one that convinced us to move ot here when every one was saying how horrible los osos is because of the sewer issues.
Sewer shmuer.
This is just a lot of rambling on about nothing. Hope you enjoyed. I feel a lot of pressure to keep this blog updated for all my loyal fans.

da zoo!

I've wanted to go to the zoo for a while now.  This isn't the first time the kids have gone but it just seemed like a fun thing to do. I always forget though how disappointed I get with the Santa Barbara Zoo.  The animals are always sleeping and the only fun thing to look at is the penguins.  Everything is always under construction.  I'm not sure what I'm looking for really. The kids always have fun.  We always go to the carousel after the zoo.  The carousel keeper man makes a parent ride with the kids standing in between them.  That parent was me but as the ride started going I decided to sit down on the bench right behind the kids since the kids really didn't need me there.  As soon as i came back around to the carousel man he said he would have to charge me 2 bucks if i were going to sit down.  I got up real fast....
