now this is worth blogging...

I feel kinda silly posting the same pictures here and on facebook but there still are the very few of you (holly,Sarah, not to name names) that are still in the dark and not on facebook so I'll post these for you. Eli is eating people food and I've gotten brave and feed him actual chunks of stuff. No choking yet(which is my biggest fear). I guess i can't puree his food forever. The boy seriously eats like a grown man.So we got this hanging seat at Ikea a while back but never hooked the thing up. We did it today *Valentines day and the kids seriously love the thing. They were just crackin each other up so much and figured out how to spin around and around. I was a little worried at first that all that spinning might make them sick but we did a couple are you dizzy tests and they seemed fine. We decided just to let them at it since they were having so much fun. Well Zeke got out of the swing and started to cough. I didn't think much of it but then all of a sudden he barfs all over the floor. I was frantically yelling at Ben to run him to the bathroom. Ben was immersed in his basketball schmasketball that he didn't even realize what was going on. Zeke hasn't puked since his first birthday and i thought for sure he had the stomach of a rock but i guess not. I'm deathly afraid of barf but am proud to say was able to get right in there and clean it up. Thank God for hardwood floors.
Eli's best bud Hayvn came over for the superbowl. Eli was crackin up at the sight of another little baby his size (well half his size). I was really cute to see them interact.

Well happy Valentines everybody. Hope yours was a happy one. I've been lucky enough to watch four hours of NBA shoot out. Yippee!!! Romance is in the air at the Brown house I tell ya. Basketball, barf, and Nois it doesn't get any better than this.

I got nothin'...

I'm blogging just for the sake (is that the right spelling or is it the Japanese liquor?) of blogging but I'm just not feelin' it right now nor do i have anything really to talk about. Life has gotten easier I think. We've gotten in a groove of some sorts and the kids have been on their best behavior (minus the thirty minute tantrum Zeke had tonight about having ice cream before dinner...he didn't win.) We've been "crying it out" with Eli for the last couple weeks. It has been going pretty good. We had a couple 12 hours of sleep nights but that didn't last long. Now he'll go down without crying but then wake up maybe 5 hours later. I've been getting him because I'm so tired and just want to sleep and if i don't he'll cry for a good 30 minutes, wake the other kids up, and we have a whole household of awake and very grumpy people. It's not worth it for me. But those 4-5 hours straight is way better than the hour and a half he was doing before. It's progress and that's what i was looking for.
Here is a picture of him in his amby bed before he got too big for it. I'm glad I got some use out of that thing. Keep an eye out on craiglist for it in the near future...

We've been loving this nice weather and have been to the beach almost everyday. I feel guilty if I'm not outside or at the beach when it's so nice. We went to the rock after school one day and then the kids rode their bikes along the path over to the candy store. This was their first taste of cotton candy. it was a hit.
I was changing Eli's diaper but he's so stinkin' hard to keep still so i gave him the baby powder to play with. Somehow he managed to open the powder and dump it all over his face and in his mouth. He literally was choking on the powder. After some serious panicking on my part Eli made it through unscathed.

So anyway nothing really monumental going on in the lives of the Brown family. We're just trying to get by month to month until Ben figures out how to make millions doin' what he do or I win the lottery (which I've been playing on a regular basis) whichever comes first.
